“From the outset, nothing was too much trouble for Nick. He made several visits in the planning stages and displayed great patience, even when we changed our minds from one visit to the next. He was also very good at conceptualising our joint ideas as computer drawings, which gave us a good idea of how things would look.

Once on site, Nick and Joe worked very hard, rain or shine. They saw the project through from beginning to end and a slight project overrun was due to circumstances beyond their control. They were a pleasure to have around, were always very willing to listen, and when a design idea didn’t quite come together, they reworked it with creativity and imagination. When we were away from home for a few days, they kept us in the picture with emailed photographs of progress made.

At the end of the project, we were thrilled to bits with the transformation. Our characterless rectangular garden became two beautiful garden areas on different levels, both separated by trellises and a curved brick bordered patio. The replacement of worn out fencing, the removal of a tree, the curbing of out of control bamboo and ivy, the fixing of two new gates, and the treatment of the existing fencing all made the move to our new house complete.
